Guwahati: On the occasion of Chotti Deepawali, Jansankhya Samadhan Foundation (JSF) is holding a Population Control Awareness Programme in a bid to support the Population Control Law and in Assam. A Signature Campaign Programme is scheduled to be observed in all districts (from Dhubri to Sadiya) of the State simultaneously.

Since 2017, JSF has been working on a one-point agenda of Population Control, a solution to most of the social evils the country and our society is facing. It has been working tirelessly across the country to enforce the Population control law across the country by creating public awareness through the campaign and adopting strict law policies.

In order to make population control activities more popular and acceptable to the people of the nation, a nation-wide Sankalpa (oath-taking) programme is to be held on the day of Chhoti Deepawali i.e. on November 13, 2020, in support of Population Control Law and in Assam.

It may also be mentioned that entire Northeastern states will be participating in the oath-taking programme on the same day.

Sailendra Pandey, Chairman, Jansankhya Samadhan Foundation, Northeast Chapter urged the people of Assam to take the opportunity to be part of this Signature Campaign Programme on Population Control.

He also urged the people of Assam to join hands to awaken the society for this noble cause. "Let us unite ourselves for Population Control against Population Explosion in order to protect our people, land, environment, and ecology and above all our beloved Motherland," said Pandey.
